Renato L. Ronquillo jewelry career began at the age of 14 in 1964 as an apprentice in his father's shop in Manila, Philippines. From
1968 to 1971, he worked in La Estrella Del Norte, one of the Philippines' most prestigious jewelry firms at that time and the best in
the Far East. It was there that Ronquillo experienced a major turning point in his career. The store's master goldsmith was out sick
and the shop's foreman asked Ronquillo to finish his job. The foreman was so impressed with Ronquillo's work that Ronquillo was
elevated to full-time goldsmith. In 1971, Ronquillo came to the United Sates and worked in several different stores in Texas before
opening up his own retail jewelry store in 1988. Since then, Renato Jewelers has served customers of the south east region of the
Houston area.

he received 3 awards, including their top award "Best of Show" which was featured in the national JA Design Competition this past
January. This past March, Renato Ronquillo was also recognized with two awards one being 1st place for his Floating beads and
Pearl Brooch.

"Being a JA Certified Jewelry Professional is an important designation," says JA President and CEO Mathew Runci. "There is a
fundamental difference between a JA Certified Jewelry Profession and someone who just happens to make, sell or repair jewelry.
Renato's successful completion of the JA Certification exam attests to his proficiency as a bench jeweler, lets consumers know
that he is qualified to craft or repair their fine jewelry, and demonstrates Renato Jewelers' commitment to providing superior
service."
